The Hyundai Genesis beat Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the midsize premium car category in a 2012 Vehicle Dependability Study results released by U.S. market researcher J.D. Power on Thursday.
The study is conducted to measure vehicle quality after ¶óÀÌ ºê Ä« Áö³ë(www.jyp2014.o.gp) three years of ownership. J.D. Power quantifies reliability in terms of how many problems turn up per 100 vehicles, with the focus on 202 different symptoms across all areas such as the engine, transmission, powertrain, body and interior, and feature and accessory. The lower the points, the higher the quality.
The Genesis topped the list with 81 points and performed best among all Hyundai Motor's cars ever included in the survey, ahead of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (83 points) and the BMW 5 Series
